Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how DramaGrip (formerly known as AniTime, "the Service") handles user privacy on the web version of the Service, including access through desktop browsers and mobile browsers. We follow a data minimization principle.
2. Information We Collect and How We Use It
We collect and use the following information to provide the Service:
- Automatically generated user ID or device identifier: Used to identify the user within the Service and to save favorites, viewing history, and related preferences.
- Account and login information: When you register or log in with an email address, we collect your email address and password (stored in encrypted form). When you log in with a third-party account such as Google, Apple, or Facebook, we receive limited profile information from that provider — such as your provider user identifier, name or nickname, email address, and profile picture — and store it to create, authenticate, and link your account. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email" feature, we receive the relay email address generated by Apple instead of your personal email address.
- Device and browser information (such as browser type, device type, operating system version, language settings, and approximate IP-based geolocation): Used to optimize streaming quality, maintain security, and apply regional licensing restrictions where certain content is available only in specific countries or regions.
- Playback activity data: Used to measure popular videos and optimize server traffic and performance.
- Cookie and local storage related information: Used to maintain login status, guest sessions, language preferences, and other necessary service settings on the web.
- Payment or subscription status information: If web-based membership or subscription features are available, we may receive limited transaction or status information necessary to confirm your access rights.
Advertising: We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on the Service. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to collect device and usage information (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) in order to serve and measure advertisements, including personalized advertisements where permitted. Where required by applicable law, personalized advertising is provided only with your consent. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time through Google's Ads Settings. For details, see our Cookie Policy.
Please note:
- We do not collect your precise GPS location through the web Service.
3. Disclosure to Third Parties
To the extent necessary to provide the Service, we may disclose limited information to service providers such as cloud service providers, content delivery providers, payment service providers, third-party login providers (such as Google, Apple, and Facebook), advertising partners (such as Google AdSense), and technical support providers. Except as required by law or in response to judicial or governmental requests, we do not sell your personal information to other third parties for monetary consideration. The use of advertising cookies by our advertising partners may constitute "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under certain laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act); you can opt out as described in Section 7 and in our Cookie Policy.
4. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and stored on servers or facilities located outside your country or region. We will take reasonable measures to protect such information to the extent required by applicable law.
5. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (for example, for legal compliance, payment settlement, security audits, or fraud prevention). When the applicable retention period expires, we will delete or anonymize the information.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have some or all of the following rights under applicable law:
- To access the personal information we hold about you.
- To request correction of inaccurate information.
- To request deletion of your personal information (see also our Account Deletion page).
- To receive a copy of your information in a portable format.
- To object to or request restriction of certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal).
- To opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (for example, under the California Consumer Privacy Act), which you can do through your cookie controls and Google's Ads Settings as described in our Cookie Policy.
- To lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
To exercise your rights, please contact us by email and provide sufficient information, such as your user ID, account email, or other relevant identifier, so that we can verify your identity and locate the relevant data. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy in whole or in part from time to time. If any changes are made, we will post the revised Privacy Policy on the Service. Unless otherwise specified by us, the revised Privacy Policy will take effect on the date it is posted.
If applicable law grants you additional privacy rights, you may contact us using the contact information provided in this Policy to exercise those rights.
9. Effective Date
This Privacy Policy is effective as of July 7, 2026.
